With over 35 years of experience as both a player and coach, he brings a calm, supportive, and knowledgeable presence to every session. His coaching focuses not only on technical skill, but also on positioning, confidence, mindset, and game understanding, helping goalkeepers feel prepared and confident when it matters most.

Jason is part of a select group of coaches in Australia to hold the highest goalkeeping accreditation, reflecting his commitment to delivering the highest standard of coaching possible. His nine years of A-League coaching experience, combined with his ongoing work developing Academy and NPL goalkeepers in Brisbane, has shaped a strong belief that every goalkeeper—regardless of age or ability—deserves individual attention, quality coaching, and a positive learning environment.

Jason is driven by seeing young goalkeepers enjoy their football, grow in confidence, and develop the skills they need to reach their potential—at their own pace.

Coaching Philosophy

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of learning from many great coaches, and my coaching philosophy is a blend of the experiences and lessons gained from each of them. What drives me most today is seeing the emotion in young goalkeepers—the joy after a big save, the frustration after a mistake, and the desire to improve. Those moments show how much they care, and that passion is what makes coaching so rewarding.

My sessions are built around game-realistic training, where every exercise links directly to what a goalkeeper will face on match day. I believe the best development happens when training reflects the speed, pressure, and decision-making of real games.

Training should challenge goalkeepers technically, physically, and mentally, while still being enjoyable, supportive, and confidence-building. By creating a positive learning environment, I aim to help goalkeepers not only improve their skills, but also develop resilience, belief, and a genuine love for the position.
