Welcome to professional goalkeeping coaching with Jason Kearton

Specialising in specific, game related goalkeeper training methods. Jason offers goalkeeper coaching at various venues in and around the Brisbane and Ipswich area, for Keepers from the age of 10, up to senior level.

Jason's coaching methods are based on experience gained through his 17 year senior level playing career along with national and international goalkeeping courses. 13 of those 17 years were played overseas in the English leagues, ranging from Premier to Division 1 & 2 teams.

JK – Introduction

I have been coaching Goalkeepers since my arrival back in Australia in 2001, after a successful 13 year playing career in the U.K. with teams including Everton, Stoke City, Blackpool, Crewe Alexandra and Notts County.

Over that time I was coached and influenced by some of the legends of the game namely; Ray Clemence, Peter Bonetti, Neville Southall, Peter Shilton, Peter Schmeichel and Mark Schwarzer just to name a few.

I specialize in specific, game related Goalkeeper Training Methods, based on experience gained through a 17 year senior level playing career, along with National and International Goalkeeping Courses.

I am currently a holder of the “Advanced Level 1 Goalkeeper License” which was instructed by Tony Frankin, the Socceroos Goalkeeper Coach and his assistant Dean May. Tony and Dean are continually sending me the latest coaching developments from their travels around the world, which I then integrate into my Goalkeeping Programs.

Over the past decade I have been fortunate enough to have worked with several Keepers that have gone on to various representative levels in this country, along with a lad who is currently a professional Keeper in the U.K with Premier League club Blackburn Rovers.

My season runs in conjunction with the school terms. Starting in late January and finishing up for the Christmas holidays in late November. I am currently working with 38 Keepers on a weekly basis aged between 9-18, in age specific training programs. These groups are designed to ensure that all Keepers (girls & boys) develop into the best Keeper they can become.

“Jason Kearton GOALKEEPING” operates out of the Brisbane and Ipswich areas.

My training venues for the 2012 season are:

  • Perry Park – Bowen Hills (Brisbane Strikers Football Club)
  • Cornubia Park – Loganholme (Logan Lightning Football Club)
  • Sutton Park – Brassall (Ipswich City Bulls Football Club)
